One of us has chosen to remain anonymous, so out of respect, that profile is now missing. However, Kytriya (the writer) doesn't mind you finding out all about me. I am known under other aliases, but Kytriya is my preferred online name.
I am an enigma to most, including dieticians, as they can't figure out how I can have so many foods I can't eat, and yet find a satisfying culinary treat to whet my appetite, let alone eat a balanced, healthy meal. For those of you with many food allergies, I know you can relate. My own process of figuring what I can and can not eat involved a long process of using the "Elimination Diet", coupled with my forward thinking Doctor, who believed it his duty to research, and keep abreast the latest developments in Nutrition, and common "misdiagnosises". This is how I was diagnosed with Celiac. Feel free to laugh at all the foods I can't eat, under the "Kyt Friendly" tab, as I do. I shall endeavor to even add non-vegetarian recipes to this site, as not every Special Needs diet, is Vegan or Vegetarian.
I have been cooking since I was 10 years old, perfecting my Spaghetti sauce, and managing to create an onion free, meat free sauce that my own father insisted contained meat, even though it didn't. Ever since meats and poultry were mandatory in our household as the only source of protein available to man, I had sought out healthier choices and the truth about foods and protein. I've learned long ago how to create food I won't eat without actually tasting it, and make everyone else happy. My Mother still raves over my Chicken Noodle soup. I'm allergic to chicken.
However, it was the dietician I had access to that made me embark upon this journey as she was not trained in the Vegan diet, and was at a loss, given my many restrictions. She recommended going "Vegetarian".
I thought about Chef school at one time, but quickly changed my mind when I found that alcohol and pro-road kill was considered de rigueur for 'good cooking'. Food restrictions, also played a part, as I wanted to remain healthy. Thus, I trained myself, and studied everything I could get my hands on concerning special diets for people with food allergies and sensitivities, food families, and nutrition. This includes Uticarian diets, and phosphorous and potassium free diets. Bon Appetit!

Answer: Because he felt like it!
Or, for those who prefer a more philosophical answer...
In his debating of the Morality of Aspiration vs. the Morality of Duty, he couldn't decide if he should or should not cross the road in order to be the best he could be for the best of Society, or to be the best he is capable of ever being. Thus, in his overachieving personality, he reasoned it best to cross the road as that might just help him to aspire to be the best he can be and yet, still fulfill his duty to society, to do what is best for Society as a whole. And furthermore, he reasoned, if he didn't cross the road, then he may never know if it really was best for society and for the greater good.
Yes, philosophy is my hobby, even though I can't debate with the best of them.

About the Formatting

The formatting of this site has been chosen so that it is most readable by those who have difficulties with reading a traditional recipe. This is why I capitalize certain letters, will write 100 g instead 100g, and have more steps then what almost all other recipe books and websites will have. What I can not do, is use the color-coded lettering system that is used with some Learning Disabled readers. The coding for that would be a nightmare at this time.

What do I do for fun?
I program, read, write novels, design never ending mansions that I wouldn't want to live in, but rather just daydream about. I also sometimes design with legos, when I have the time.

Scriptfrenzy (write a 100 page script in the month of April) consumes my time twice a year.
My music taste runs from Klezmer to Mittlealter, from Industrial to Punk, from non screamy Metal to Monkees, from Authentic World Folk and Alternative Music to Vivaldi.
There is Movies, Books, Sports and then there is Formula One. I am a huge McLaren fan.
My favorite sports are Rugby, Football (Soccer) and Australian Rules Football, rare sports in USA. I love Gymnastics, Fencing and many other sports.
