Flax Seed Allergy?
If you react severely to Flax, then you might have to watch out for Linen, as Linen I just found out is made from Flax. You learn something new everyday.

Severe Allergies:
React by touch to proteins? It helps to learn not to touch a thing, but this isn't always practical. Some have found that the wearing of gloves helps. Also, products can be made from any protein that you are reacting too. Reading labels carefully, and calling manufacturers is the only real way to protect yourself. If you react by smell, certain Public Conveniences (or Restrooms) can contain scents that you might react too. I've learned to take a good breath before entering and just simply hold it for as long as I can. Then, I breathe lightly, while being sure I don't hyper-ventilate if I can't leave yet. I get out as quickly as possible.

1) Pink Peppercorns:
Pink Peppercorn, which is found in the Four Peppercorn spices, comes from the dried berries from the Baies rose plant Schinus terebinthifolius) from RĂ©union, France. It's cousin is the mango (Anacardiaceae family), Cashews, and Poison Ivy and can cause allergic reactions. If you are allergic to any of its cousins, then I would avoid until a Doctor proves that you are not allergic to it.

2) Celery:
Those who react to Celery, may also be allergic to Fenugreek, and vice versa, if you are like me. Those who can't have Fenugreek should avoid "peacock" in Indian stores, as this is Fenugreek. Also, avoid anything that contains "Veggie Broth" as often, they use celery as one of its ingredients...especially in some cans of Tuna.

3) Canned Tuna:
Have an Allergy to something other then soy? Watch out for Vegetable broth! Vegetable broth often contain more then the "soy" listed on its label, and can contain two or more of the following vegetables: Beans, cabbage, carrots, celery, garlic, onions, parsley, peas, potatoes, green bell peppers, red bell peppers, spinach, and tomatoes!
FDA: CFR Code of Regulations Title 21 that concerns what is legal for canned Tuna. It was revised as of April 1, 2010.
Packed in water? Really? You could have fooled me! Read all labels carefully as many Tuna cans are NOT packed exclusively in what they say they are packed in. This means that the water often contains soy or broth. May I call them a few choice names? I am thinking of an M-word. How passive-agressive of me! Oops! My bad. ;)

Notes Part Two

4) Vinegar:
Allergic to Vinegar and eat Vegan? Watch out for Vegan cheeses, as its a common ingredient in Vegan Cheeses. If you find a truly Vegan, vinegar free cheese, please let me know! Thanks! UPDATE: Daiyan Cheese IS DF, GF, and Vinegar Free! But, alas, it contains Canola Oil, which is part of the Mustard family. I'm intolerant/Anaphylatic to many of the Mustard family, but just not anaphylactic to Canola Oil. However, because I am anaphylactic to some members of the Mustard and Cabbage Family, I'm avoiding it.

5) Signs of Allergies:
Mood swings? Chemical imbalances? Try the Food Elimination diet to see if you have an undiagnosed food sensitivity or allergy! Cinnamon is a cause of chemical imbalances in me, but in others, might lift their depression. I'm actually Allergic, and can go into Anaphylactic shock from the smell of Cinnamon (as well as other foods).

6) Mustard Family Allergy:
Avoid Izzy Soda's as they may contain Radish. Their Peach Soda does contain Radish. So, yes, do read ALL labels, including Drinks, Snacks, Foods. And yes, they do put this on the label. I just forgot to read that label. Oops!
